Federal Senior Tax Analyst with a $20+ billion, multi-national company.
Summary
My client is expanding its tax department and is looking for a
high impact/value creating Federal Senior Tax Analyst. In this role
you will participate in a mix of compliance, tax position management, planning and business consulting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review income tax returns to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with domestic tax law including Forms 1120 and 1065 as well as the tracking of tax basis.
- Review quarterly tax accounting submissions.
- Develop and train tax interns and/or tax analysts.
- Support company tax positions and participate in tax planning projects.
- Build relationships and understand the business of assigned entities in order to assess tax opportunities and ensure accurate reporting of items on tax returns.
- Manage multiple projects and communicate results to your supervisor and team.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and share ideas for transformation that will drive value in the tax organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a JD.
- 3+ years’ of experience in a corporate or partnership tax role.
- Public accounting firm or large multi-national corporation experience.
- Understanding of tax provision and common tax adjustments (depreciation, amortization, Section 174, UNICAP, accrued liabilities) as well as transaction implications and associated reporting impacts.
- Demonstrated problem solving, analytical skills, innovative thinking and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive results and meet deadlines.
- Ability to train newer staff on the why and not just the process. A big plus if you have supervisory experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments and communicate those to your supervisor and team.
- Experience with BNA is a plus.
- CorpTax and OneSource experience.
